Natural Resources Ministry to present Museum of Far Eastern Nature at Eastern Economic Forum

The Russian Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment will present the interactive Museum of Far Eastern Nature at the Eastern Economic Forum. The 280-square-metre exhibition space will include installations and interactive exhibits dedicated to the natural potential of the region, Year of the Environment projects, and environmental and safe sustainable development programmes in Russia.

 

Visitors of the museum will be able to hold solidified lava, hear sea lions and polar bears roar, smell the taiga forest, put their hands into water from Kamchatka’s hot springs, as well as see the ocean bottom, tundra moss, soil and mineral samples under a glass floor and an authentic Amur tiger paw print.

 

In addition, the forum organisers will show 360-degree documentaries on Far Eastern protected areas and hold a charity run in support of tigers and leopards as well as present the House of the Amur Tiger pavilion by the Amur Tiger Centre.
