A charity run in support of Far Eastern leopards and Amur tigers is scheduled for 6 September as part of the 3rd Eastern Economic Forum, to be held on Russky Island. The event is organised with the assistance from the Ministry of Sport, the Russian Olympic Committee and the Primorye Territory Administration.

Race participants can choose either the 1 km or 5 km distance. At the starting line, all the runners will receive a branded T-shirt, a timekeeping chip and a bib number. The proceeds of the run will go towards preserving the Red Data Book felines.

Last year, the organisers of the Eastern Economic Forum race raised over 1 million roubles.
