Amur tigers go to Eastern Economic Forum

31 August 2017

The Amur Tiger Centre will present the House of the Amur Tiger at the 3rd Eastern Economic Forum, to be held between 6 and 7 September in Vladivostok. The pavilion will be part of the Far Eastern Street exhibition, where guests will see environmental projects through interactive devices, photos and videos, as well as the equipment used by Hunting Supervision Department specialists in their work.

An environmental session, Specially Protected Areas: Opportunities for State and Business, as well as a charity auction and a charity run in support of Far Eastern leopards and Amur tigers are planned as part of the forum. The events will be attended by Konstantin Chuychenko,  Aide to the President, Chief of the Presidential Control Directorate and Chair of the Amur Tiger Centre Supervisory Board, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Sergei Donskoi, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Khloponin and others.

The proceeds will go towards the Amur Tiger Centre’s nature protection projects: supporting the work of the Hunting Supervision Department, stocking the feed reserve for hoofed animals in the tiger habitat, and buying new camera traps.
