Children’s drawings of tigers and leopards to reappear in calendars

21 December 2016

A contest of children’s drawings depicting Amur tigers and Far Eastern leopards has opened in the Russian Far East.  Children from the Primorye and Khabarovsk territories, the Amur Region and the Jewish Autonomous Region, and from South Korea are invited to take part.  The contest proposes two themes: One Day in the Life of the Far Eastern Leopard in its Natural Habitat and One Day in the Life of the Amur Tiger in its Natural Habitat. The best works will appear in the 2018 wall calendars Let’s Protect Far Eastern Leopards Together and Let’s Protect Amur Tigers Together.

The Phoenix Fund and the Far Eastern nature reserves and national parks are organising the contest for the 12th time. Details of the contest rules can be found on the fund’s website.
