Moscow to host the 10th Russia's Primeval Nature festival

11 January 2023

The 10th Russia's Primeval Nature festival will take place from 17 February to 19 March 2023 in the halls of the Russian Artists Union in Moscow’s New Tretyakov Gallery.

Festival-goers will see the newest and most interesting photos captured in Russia over the past year, in individual and group exhibits: photos of wildlife, plants and natural features.

This year, participants sent in more than 6,500 works to the festival. More than 500 of them will be on show at the festival.

The Union of Wildlife Photographers of Russia will present the Big Russia Day and the Meeting Place is Russia projects. A large separate area will be dedicated to the Russian Red Data Book and the protection of rare animal species. The photo projects Colours of the Wild, Humour, Underwater World and others also will be displayed there in 2023. The exhibition will include a total of 33 projects.

Brazil is the guest country of the 2023 festival. The photos from this country will show jaguars, anteaters, sloths and parrots in their natural habitat.

In addition to the photo exhibition, guests can enjoy a business and educational programme. The Amur Tiger Centre will take part in the festival.
