Camera Trap 2019 fifth national contest open for applications

10 September 2019

The Camera Trap 2019 fifth national contest opened on 9 September. Photos and videos of wild animals obtained using motion-sensor cameras are accepted for the contest.

The goal of the contest is to demonstrate how efficient modern technology can be and to encourage the use of it in studying and monitoring animals in the wild. The contest is organized by the Forest Monitoring Project company in traditional partnership with the Amur Tiger Centre in the Cats category.

Russian environmental organisations are allowed to take part in the contest. The closing date for entries submitted via the project’s official website is 25 December 2019.

The winners will be determined by a jury of experts together with the contest’s organisers and partners. The outcome of the online voting, which is to begin on 1 November 2019, will also be taken into account.
