Run in support of Far Eastern rare animals held at 2019 Eastern Economic Forum

Over 500 people took part in a run to support rare animals of the Far East, which was held on the second day of the 5th Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok. The event received support from the Roscongress Foundation, the Amur Tiger Centre and the Far Eastern Leopards autonomous non-profit organisation.

 

"This year the traditional race that unites forum participants and locals had the motto ‘Sport as a Way of Life.’ Jogging in good company and in a beautiful setting is the best way to start the day and gives you a great boost of energy to work,” said Russian Minister of Sport Pavel Kolobkov, who ran the 5 km distance.

 

Vladivostok Mayor Oleg Gumenyuk, Ivan Shtyl, a 2012 Olympic medallist and 17-time world champion in canoe sprint, and forum guests from Japan, India and Nigeria also took part in the run.
