The Phoenix Fund has posted online the results of its annual international children’s drawings contest dedicated to the conservation of the populations of the Amur tiger and the Far Eastern leopard. The best entries have been selected and will be featured in wall calendars for 2019.
This year, the jury received over 3,000 entries depicting one day in the life of a Far Eastern leopard or Amur tiger in the wild. The contest involved young artists from the Primorye and Khabarovsk territories, the Amur and Leningrad regions and the Republic of Korea.
The international contest was held for the 13th time by the Phoenix Fund, with the support of the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation, the WildCats Conservation Alliance, the Wildlife Conservation Society, the Tiger and Leopard Conservation Fund in Korea and state reserves and national parks of the Russian Far East.
