Trail cameras in the Sikhote-Alin Biosphere Reserve have captured video of Mira the Amur tiger and her two cubs. Experts estimate the cubs’ age at around five months, which means that Mira was hiding them in the remote parts of the reserve where there are no motion-sensor cameras. The two cubs are males.

“The fact that there are new cubs in the reserve is proof that the tiger population is doing well. The tigers have enough food, and nobody is bothering them so that they can safely bring up their cubs,” said Svetlana Sutyrina, deputy director for research at the Sikhote-Alin Biosphere Reserve.
