The third Russian Geographical Society Festival will be held at the Central House of Artists in Moscow on 3-12 November. The Amur Tiger Centre will have a pavilion there devoted to the rare predator.
The Amur Tiger Centre will present the House of the Amur Tiger, an over 80-square-metre pavilion devoted to the predator and its conservation projects. A 3D photo zone will be set up next to the pavilion, with photos, videos and interactive devices to show visitors environmental, scientific and media projects of the Amur Tiger Centre. In the panoramic video zone, festival-goers will be able to take part in an environmental raid of a hunting supervision department, release the tigress Filippa into the wild, and set off on a journey with the tiger Amurchik as part of the Wayofatiger project.
In the cinema zone, a big screen will show videos of Amur tigers recorded by camera traps in the wild, and also video reports about the Amur Tiger Centre’s projects such as Reintroducing Vladik the Tiger and Filippa the Tigress; 2017 Tiger Day in Vladivostok; 2017 Tiger Student Team; and others. In the evenings, visitors will be able to watch the films Tigers and Humans, and Amur Tiger: The Path to the Sacred Mountain.
