New photographs of Amur tigers were taken during the inspection carried out at the Bastak Nature Reserve in the Jewish Autonomous Region. This time, Zavetny and another male tiger, which was first spotted in the reserve last November, were caught on camera.

The newcomer was named Bastak. Researchers have noted that Bastak is following in the tracks of Zavetny, a sign that he may be claiming the title of the new master of the reserve. Currently, both predators are in perfect physical shape.
