The Amur tiger population has increased by 10-15% in the tiger habitat over the past ten years. Experts estimate the current tiger population at 523-540, including 98-100 tiger cubs.

In February 2015, researchers counted the Amur tiger and Far Eastern leopard populations in their natural habitats in the Far East on the area of over 150,000 square kilometres.
