Siberian (Amur) Tiger Centre and Vladivostok Administration sign a cooperation agreement

18 March 2014

Presidential Aide and Chief of the Presidential Control Directorate Konstantin Chuychenko and Vladivostok Mayor Igor Pushkaryov have held a working meeting in Vladivostok.

Following the meeting, an agreement on cooperation between the Siberian (Amur) Tiger Centre and the Vladivostok Administration was signed by Vladivostok Mayor Igor Pushkaryov and Head of the Primorye Territory Branch of the Siberian Tiger Centre Sergei Aramilev.

The parties pointed out the importance of cooperation aimed at developing joint initiatives for the study and conservation of the Siberian tiger.

The agreement provides for further cooperation related to promoting measures aimed at the conservation of the Siberian tiger and the unique wildlife of the Primorye Territory. Thematic conferences, seminars, exhibitions, symposiums and other events are expected to be held in order to enhance the environmental awareness of residents.

The Siberian Tiger Centre will take part in the celebration of Tiger Day in Vladivostok in September 2014. According to the organisers, this will be a real Far Eastern environmental carnival, unlike anything that exists elsewhere in the world.
