The international forum on the preservation of the global population of tigers will be held in St Petersburg, not in Vladivostok, as was planned earlier. On May 31, 2010, Vladimir Putin announced the change of venue explaining that Vladivostok is not ready yet to receive 13 heads of government and their delegations due to a lack of the necessary infrastructure. Later it was decided to hold the summit in St Petersburg.
