The call for entries remains open for the third My Snow Leopard international wildlife festival, established by the Sayano-Shushensky and Khakassky nature reserves with the support of the Russian Geographical Society’s Khakassia branch. Creative works of various genres dedicated to the snow leopard and its habitat are eligible for the competition.

Entries will be accepted until 1 May 2015; the rules are described on the festival’s website, www.bars.ucoz.org. Entries can be submitted in the following categories: Research Work; Research Report; Literary Work; Photography; Video Production; Choreographic Production; Theatre Production; Vocal and Instrumental Music; Souvenir; and Drawing.

The winners will receive certificates and gifts, and will be able to take an educational tour of the Sayano-Shushensky Nature Reserve to visit the snow leopard habitat.

The festival will conclude with the My Snow Leopard environmental forum, which will take place on 1-5 June 2015, in the village of Shushenskoye, the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The forum’s motto is “Let’s Help Preserve the Biological Diversity and Environment.” The forum will feature a discussion club for nature lovers and a display of the creative works submitted for the competition.
