On 25 July, a working session of the Russia-US Polar Bear Commission’s research group took place in the Chukotka Autonomous Area.

The Chukotka administration combined two events, notably the Polar Bear Universe international conference and the group’s session.

Such a major event was held in Chukotka for the first time. The previous meetings took place in Moscow, St Petersburg, Sochi, and Anchorage.
