Eastern Economic Forum to hold Far Eastern leopard and Amur tiger charity run

23 August 2017

On 6 September, a charity run in support of Far Eastern leopards and Amur tigers will take place on Russky Island as part of the 3rd Eastern Economic Forum. The event is sponsored by the Roscongress Foundation with support from the Primorye Territory Administration and the Russian Olympic Committee. The proceeds will go towards preserving the rare cats of the Far East.

Participants in the run will be able to choose the 1 km or 5 km distance. At the start, they will receive a race packet, which includes a branded T-shirt, a time-keeping chip for individual time tracking and a bib number.

The charity run to support rare wild cats was held for the first time at the 2nd Eastern Economic Forum. Over 600 people took part in it. Last year, the organisers raised over 1 million roubles.
