Celebrations to mark International Snow Leopard Day were held at the administrative and excursion centre of the Sayano-Shushensky Biosphere Reserve.

The event was attended by students and teachers of the Shushensky District Centre of Supplementary Education. The guests watched a film, Snow Leopard of Sayano-Shushensky  Reserve, about studying and preserving snow leopards on the northern border of their natural habitat. The audience also listened to a presentation given by special guest,  biker Yegor Kovalchuk, who visited the Sayano-Shushensky Reserve as part of the inter-regional travel itinerary, The Golden Ring of Siberia.  

At the festival, visitors could also take part in an Ecologika game of charades and try to find a secretive snow leopard in various photos taken by photographers and trap cameras.

 
The event was held with the support of the Khakas Republican Branch of the Russian Geographical Society and South-Siberian Expeditionary Corps.
