My Snow Leopard festival holds final event

15 September 2020

Winners of the 2020 My Snow Leopard festival visited the Oglakhty sector of the Khakassky Nature Reserve. This is the largest area where ancient petroglyphs are carved into the surface of local cliffs and also one of the few places in Khakassia inhabited by rare and endemic plant and animal species.

After their guided tours, the winners attended the awards ceremony and received certificates and prizes of the My Snow Leopard festival.

The My Snow Leopard international wildlife media festival was instituted in 2013 by the state-run Sayano-Shushensky Biosphere Reserve and the Khakassky Nature Reserve with the support of the Republic of Khakassia’s branch of the Russian Geographical Society. Each year, the festival involves hundreds of participants from Russia and other countries.
