Images of seven different snow leopards – a male leopard Khorgai, a female leopard with three one-year-old cubs, and two other male leopards – captured by video surveillance cameras at the Altai Biosphere Reserve were discovered during the fifth Following the Snow Leopard’s Tracks volunteer expedition, which ended on 15 September.

During the expedition, volunteers explored the Chikhachyov Range, checked the camera traps, set up new ones and replaced broken cameras with vandal-proof ones. The cameras also captured images of Pallas’s cats and many other animals and birds as well. The data acquired in the course of the expedition is currently being processed.
