Sayano-Shushensky reserve launches My Snow Leopard anniversary festival

The Sayano-Shushensky Biosphere Reserve will host the fifth My Snow Leopard wildlife festival this year. The festival is traditionally held by the Khakassky and the Sayano-Shushensky reserves with the support of the Khakassia branch of the Russian Geographical Society.

 

The My Snow Leopard festival is an international media competition held in the following categories: Research Work; Research Report; Literary Work; Photography; Video Production; Drawing; Choreographic Production; Theatre Production; Vocal and Instrumental Music; Souvenir.

 

Over 10,000 people from Russia, China, Germany, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, France and the United States attended the festival in the subsequent years. The festival brings together adults and children of various ethnic backgrounds who strive to preserve the snow leopard, one the rarest and most beautiful wildcats in the world.


The results of the fifth festival will be announced in early summer at an environmental forum. Winners will receive certificates and gifts.
