Camera traps have been set in the Sayano-Shushensky State Nature Reserve to track the snow leopards’ migration patterns as part of the Snow Leopard Research Programme. In the last six months, researchers have installed more than 10 motion sensor devices that photograph and film the animals. Thanks to these devices, scientists obtained new photos of the snow leopard Mongol, who has been tracked via satellite since March 2011.

Video cameras also captured images of a female snow leopard with her three cubs. This is further confirmation of the scientists' theory that snow leopards feel at ease in the Nature Reserve and are breeding successfully there.
