On 19 February, an exhibition called Diverse – Walruses, Polar Bears and Whales opened at the Congress Hall of the Museum of the World Ocean in Kaliningrad. The project is devoted to Marine Mammal Protection Day, also known as World Whale Day.

The Museum of the World Ocean, in cooperation with the Marine Mammal Council, prepared a stunning showcase of 45 photographs from the unique world of whales, polar bears and walruses. The photographs were made in various years by researchers and specialists in marine mammal protection.

Every year, the museum holds special events on Marine Mammal Protection Day to raise public awareness about marine mammal issues.
