Scientists of the Land of the Leopard national park who check and analyse data from camera trails have discovered images of Leo 120F, a female Far Eastern leopard, together with a new cub, who is about three months old. The photos show the newest leopard is in excellent shape, walking briskly next to his mom.

“This is Leo 120F’s third offspring. The fertile female is about eight years old, and throughout her adult life she has steadily replenished the Far Eastern leopard population. With the new offspring, this feline has already given birth to three cubs. Leo 120F has one cub. This is the norm for the subspecies: more often than not, Far Eastern leopard females give birth to one or two cubs at a time,” said Taisiya Marchenkova, an employee of the Land of the Leopard research department.

Leo 120F’s mother is Pamela the leopardess, whose keeper is Hollywood actress Pamela Anderson. Leopard Keepers is a programme of Land of the Leopard national park and the Far Eastern Leopards autonomous non-profit organisation. Special Presidential Representative for Environmental Protection, Ecology and Transport Sergei Ivanov, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev, Pope Francis, actor Steven Seagal, TV presenter Nikolai Drozdov, leader of the Mumiy Troll rock group Ilya Lagutenko, performer Dima Bilan and others take part in the programme.
