Tourists were able to take photos of the young Far Eastern female leopard Leo 208F, recently registered by scientists, at Land of the Leopard National Park in the Primorye Territory.
The National Park’s guests took pictures from a comfortable professional photo hide with all the amenities necessary for staying there for several days.
“The new leopard filming season has now begun, and the very first guests were able to see this amazing wild cat and to take pictures of it,” said Olesya Storozhuk, Land of the Leopard’s deputy director for environmental education and tourism. “It is only possible to take such photos between November and April, and this is what makes them so unique,” she added.
Photo hides help visitors wait for the predators and take pictures of them without disturbing the cats. Land of the Leopard has eight such facilities with many photo camera slits. Far Eastern Leopards and the Presidential Grants Foundation sponsored their construction.
