Camera traps catch a new Far Eastern leopard for the first time

1 April 2014

Employees of the Land of the Leopard National Park received new photos from newly installed camera traps, which caught a young Far Eastern leopard that has never before been seen.

The scientists cannot determine its gender or age so far, but they believe that it is a young male.

More  information about the animal is likely to be obtained following the photo census and genetic monitoring, which will be conducted this year.
